Summit Ridge Middle School has been educating middle school students since 1994. Our population is about 800 students in 7th and 8th grades. Summit Ridge has established traditions of good behavior and solid academic work, with students winning many awards in competitions and activities.

Classroom Organization: Summit Ridge is organized into three 7th grade and three 8th grade Interdisciplinary Teams.

Core classes include:

  • World Area Studies - Eastern Hemisphere or Early US History
  • Mathematics
  • Physical, Life and Earth Sciences
  • Language Arts & Honors Language Arts
A full Elective/Exploratory program is offered that includes:
  • Family and Consumer Sciences
  • Physical Education
  • Art
  • Technology Education
  • Computer Sciences
  • Band
  • Vocal Music
  • Orchestra
  • Spanish and German
  • Drama
  • Reading, writing and math support classes are offered to a variety of students
