A Little About Me...

Hello!  My name is Erica Brinkman and I teach Choir and Drama (Theatre Arts) at Summit Ridge!  This is my 20th year of teaching, and I'm so excited to start this new school year!  

I was born in Madrid, Spain, but most of my childhood was spent in The Netherlands, which I consider my homeland.  My father was a diplomat for the Dutch embassy, so he insisted we learn multiple languages and cultures. 

I've lived in the US since I was 18 years old, and I attended Metro State College here in Denver.  I married my husband 18 years ago, and we have two sons, a Freshman and a Junior both at  Dakota Ridge.  We also have a tiny Boston Terrier who we call "Lil Buddy" who may or may not be really spoiled!

I love teaching music and theatre, but my biggest passion is the combination of the two: musical theatre.  I've been a performer my whole life, and live for the thrill of live performances!

Speaking of performances, I also direct the Musical at Summit Ridge.  This year, I plan to direct "Frozen Jr"  It's a great show, full of fun music and dance!  Performances are:
