What's Happening

Jeffco has launched a 1:1 district-wide Chromebook Distribution Plan for all 5th and 9th-grade students. We have been given permission to sell Chromebooks to all incoming 7th-grade students for the 2019-2020 school year. The district is allowing us to do this for one year so that we don't have a technology shortage.
We are requiring all incoming 7th-grade families to purchase a Chromebook Lenovo 300E 2nd Gen Touch & Flip Screen in the amount of $280.00.  Specifications of this Chromebook can be found here and on our 1:1 SRMS Chromebook Connect Initiative (CCi) web page. It will be optional for 6th and 8th-grade families (pre-order via this link: Sign-up Genius).
Please see the attached flyer. We will be sending this information out to our community via e-mail. Please contact SRMS if you have any questions.

Student Volunteers Needed!

The Jump Start program is looking for current 7th, 8th, or 9th graders who attended SRMS to help out during the week. This program helps incoming 6th and 7th graders become familiar with SRMS and meet other students.  If your child is outgoing, friendly, and likes to help others, please encourage them to apply.  The dates are July 29th - August 1st.

Summit Ridge Middle School is looking for community support to help with the judging of mysteries our students have written over the last couple of months. The judging process is easy, even easier than the Science Fair! The students have been working hard and are looking forward to telling you all about the creative and exciting stories they have been writing. We are looking for volunteers on May 9th and 10th. The judging will be during the school day, and you can stay for as long as you wish. No minimum requirement. Our goal is to have each project judged three times for more fair and accurate scoring. Feel free to join us for one or both of the days, and please let us know if you will be able to help and see the hard work from the students at Summit.
If you are interested, please fill out the form found here or go to Ms. Hunter, Ms. McDonough, or Mrs. Freeman’s websites to find the same form or to contact them.
Our Sincerest Thanks,
